Summary:
The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development and operation of a new 5G wireless internet service provider (ISP) serving the Rosebud Indian Reservation and surrounding areas. This critical role will involve managing all aspects of the ISP's operations, from infrastructure development and network deployment to customer acquisition and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Implementation:
Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, for all phases of the ISP development and operation.
Oversee the implementation of the project plans, ensuring adherence to deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
Coordinate with Sicangu Co. leadership, the Rosebud Sioux Tribe, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for the project.
Infrastructure Development & Network Deployment:
Lead the planning and implementation of the ISP's 5G wireless network infrastructure, including site selection, tower construction, and equipment installation.
Oversee the deployment of the network, ensuring optimal coverage and performance across the 20 tribal communities and surrounding areas.
Customer Acquisition & Service Delivery:
Develop and implement marketing and sales strategies to acquire customers for the new ISP, targeting the 3,022 households, 84 tribal-related business offices & programs, and 18 community anchor institutions.
Oversee the provision of high-quality customer service, including installation, troubleshooting, and ongoing support.
Operations Management:
Manage all aspects of the ISP's day-to-day operations, including network monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and industry standards.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations.
Team Leadership & Development:
Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team to support the ISP's operations.
Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in the telecommunications or technology industry.
Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects from inception to completion.
Strong understanding of 5G wireless technology and network deployment.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including tribal leaders, government officials, and community members.
Passion for promoting economic development and improving access to technology in underserved communities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Experience working with tribal governments and communities.
Familiarity with the Rosebud Indian Reservation and surrounding areas.
Compensation:
Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
