Nurturing young people and the Lak̇ota way of life
It began with two questions: How do we revitalize the Lakota language? And how does our community want to teach our children?
Wak̇aŋyeja Ki Ṫokeyaḣc̄i is an immersive Lakota education that prioritizes the holistic well-being of Lakota students and the regeneration of the Lakota language and way of life.
By centering Lak̇ota language, culture, and Indigenous identity, Wak̇aƞyeja Ki Ṫokeyaḣc̄i is reclaiming and rebuilding the foundation of the Siċaŋġu education system.
