Job Title: Business Industry Analyst (Part-Time or Full-Time), Rosebud Economic Development Corporation (REDCO)

Reports To: Chief Economic Development Officer, REDCO

Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000

Benefits: Full benefits per REDCO policies

Probationary Period: 60 days

Work Schedule: Hybrid

Salary Range:

  • Full-Time: $75,000 – $85,000 annually

  • Part-Time: $35,000 – $42,500 annually

Job Summary:

The Business Industry Analyst plays a crucial role in helping REDCO make informed decisions based on in-depth research and analysis of market trends, competitors, and industry-specific data. They are responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data sets, identifying key insights, and presenting findings to management and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Research & Analysis:

  • Conduct comprehensive market research, including identifying target markets, analyzing competitor activities, and assessing industry trends.

  • Utilize various research tools and techniques to gather and analyze data from diverse sources, including industry reports, financial statements, and customer surveys.

  • Identify and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure industry performance and benchmark against competitors.

  • Data Analysis & Interpretation:

  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data using statistical and data visualization tools to uncover actionable insights.

  • Develop forecasting models and perform trend analysis to predict future market behavior and identify potential risks and opportunities.

  • Prepare reports and presentations that effectively communicate findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders.

  • Strategic Planning & Decision Making:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic initiatives based on market research findings.

  • Provide data-driven insights to support decision-making processes across various business functions, including marketing, sales, and operations.

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of strategic initiatives and adjust plans as needed to ensure alignment with business objectives.

  • Industry Expertise & Knowledge:

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies that may impact the organization's business.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with industry experts, thought leaders, and key stakeholders.

  • Represent the organization at industry conferences and events to enhance brand visibility and thought leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA or Master's in a relevant field) is preferred.

  • Experience:

  • Full-Time: 3+ years of experience in market research, business analysis, or a related role.

  • Part-Time: 1+ years of experience in market research, business analysis, or a related role.

  • Working with Native American Tribes is a Plus.

  • Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.

  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS, Tableau).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.

  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Skilled in time management, meeting deadlines, and working independently.

Additional Information:

  • The Business Industry Analyst may also be responsible for conducting SWOT analysis, developing business cases for new products or services, and monitoring the competitive landscape.

  • The specific tasks and responsibilities of the Business Industry Analyst may vary depending on the size and nature of the organization and the industry in which it operates.
