REPORTS TO: Executive Director
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
TYPICAL SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week
SALARY RANGE: 58,656.00-68,000
Position Overview: The Health Initiative Director will direct the Sicangu Health Initiative, providing strategic leadership and direction for all program areas. This role reports to the Executive Director and includes developing and managing program goals, outcomes, budgets, and reporting, as well as supervising three full-time employees and one contract worker. The Director will be responsible for researching and developing the Indigenous Mothers and Womb Support Program and piloting the Youth Outdoor Adventure Program.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop program direction and goals in alignment with the initiative’s objectives.
Create and manage budgets to ensure financial sustainability and accountability.
Create strategies and specific objectives for the sub-programs to support the functional infrastructure
Direct and provide guidance to Initiative employees and contracted workers.
Conduct research and develop the Indigenous Mothers and Womb Support Program.
Lead the development and launch of the Youth Outdoor Adventure Program.
Build communication and partnerships with external organizations to support program growth.
Conduct evaluations and report progress to internal and external stakeholders.
May be required to perform other duties as requested by and/or approved by management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in public health, healthcare administration preferred but not required.
Relevant experience in program management, preferably in a community health setting.
Successful experience managing teams and working with Indigenous communities.
Experience and working knowledge in community outreach.
Progressive experience in health care administration positions.
Has successfully developed operational policy in a prior position.

Knowledge of:
Health and wellness programs, especially in Indigenous communities.
Business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
Curriculum and training design and delivery for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
Administrative and office procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and workplace terminology.
Skills to:
