JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and driven General Manager to oversee the daily operations of Peji Co / Rosebud Garden Cannabis Dispensary. The General Manager will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, delivering exceptional customer service, optimizing operational efficiency, and ensuring the production of high-quality cannabis products that exceed industry standards. This leadership role requires a balance of operational expertise, customer engagement, and business acumen to drive growth and profitability while maintaining a safe, professional and compliant environment.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Leadership and Staff Management:
Lead, manage, and motivate all Peji Co / Rosebud Garden staff, ensuring high performance and a positive work environment.
Recruit, hire, train, and develop dispensary team members, including Budtenders, Packaging Technicians, Cultivation Manager and Technicians, Security and support staff.
Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and implement performance improvement plans as needed.
Create schedules, manage time-off requires, and ensure adequate staffing levels.
Operations and Inventory Management:
Oversee day-to-day operations of the dispensary and grow facility, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper product stocking.
Monitor inventory control, including compliance with tribal regulations, tracking, and audits.
Work closely with the Peji Co / Rosebud Garden Cultivation Manager to develop the best products at competitive prices.
Compliance and Regulations:
Ensure full compliance with the Rosebud Sioux Tribe Marijuana Control Ordinance, including reporting and record-keeping requirements.
Stay current on changes in the ordinance or any other legislation and ensure that the dispensary operates within legal guidelines.
Manage security protocols, including surveillance and safe handling of cash and cannabis products.
Conduct routine inspections of the dispensary and grow to ensure health, safety, and sanitation standards are met.
Work closely with the Rosebud Sioux Tribe Cannabis Control Commission on regulatory requirements such as: licensing, and regulatory inquiries, as may be necessary.
Customer Service:
Foster a customer-first culture, ensuring all customers receive knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient service.
Handle customer concerns or complaints professionally and ensure resolutions are met promptly.
Educate customers on product offerings, including cannabis strains, edibles, concentrates, and accessories.
Financial Management and Reporting:
Monitor and maintain the performance, security, and functionality of Peji
Co / Rosebud Garden’s GrowFlow Software.
Oversee daily cash handling, sales reports, and financial transactions.
Manage budgets, forecast sales, and control cost to ensure profitability.
Track sales metrics, provide insights into trends, and implement strategies to boost sales and customer retention.
Prepare and submit regular financial reports to REDCO Executive Team, highlighting Objective Key Results (OKRs) and grow opportunities.
Marketing and Business Development:
Collaborate with the Marketing Team to promote the dispensary through events, promotions, and local outreach.
Develop and implement strategies to drive foot traffic and increase customer loyalty.
Monitor local market trends and competitor activity to adjust business strategies accordingly.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Candidates must have at least 5+ years of experience in business management, including leadership, strategic planning, and operational oversight
Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, or related field (preferred)
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate, driving performance and achieving results
Excellent communication skills
Adaptable and resourceful in a fast-paced and evolving environment
